Links in your comment
If you include a URL in your comment, it will be converted to a link. Please note, comments containing links to personal blogs and other inappropriate sites will be deleted. ONLY links to news stories or sites relevant to the blog post are acceptable.
Language, Length, and Format
This blog has a diverse audience with different sensibilities and opinions. That said, please avoid harsh language and the use of profanity. Flaming or use of threatening language is not allowed nor will it be tolerated.
If an entry gets you fired up, excited, or makes you think so deeply that the words pour from you like an overflowing fountain, consider publishing it as a thought on your own blog and trackback. If trackback is disabled, you are welcome to leave a comment summarizing your entry with a link to continue reading it.
Ideally, your comment will be under 200 well chosen words with paragraphs as necessary; whitespace makes the content easier to read on a computer screen.
False Allegations and Accusations
Comments that make allegations against people and/or accusing people of acts without verifiable evidence are not acceptable and will not be tolerated. These comments introduce liability and will give attorneys grounds for lawsuits against the commenter and/or the blog site. The comment in question will be deleted if no verifiable evidence can be shown.
Anonymity
Because I am myself anonymous to the world at large, it would make sense to extend the same courtesy to be anonymous to the commentors without fear of retribution within the Deaf Community. It does not mean that you can abuse this. Moreover, you are expected to submit your real email address when submitting your comment(s). By submitting your comments, you also understand and accept that true anonymity is not possible, for I could be subpoenaed by attorneys requesting the IP addresses and email addresses of certain commentors for lawsuits. To avoid this, I suggest that we do not behave in the manner that would bring shame to our mothers. “Do not do anything you do not want your mother to know” as the saying goes.
Subscribing To Comments Via E-mail
In order to receive notification of comments left after yours, it is essential that you provide a valid and working e-mail address.
If you want email follow up of comments, make sure click on the check mark next to “Notify me of follow up comments via e-mail” before submitting your comment.
E-mail Addresses
Please use a valid e-mail address when commenting on the blog. It will not be displayed unless you type it in the body of your comment and you will not be subscribed to any mailing list by leaving a comment.
If you use an invalid e-mail address or one which requires any type of human interaction to confirm I’m not a spammer, your comment will be deleted — no exceptions.
Editing Comments
I reserve the right to edit or delete comments as I feel necessary. Blatant spelling and grammatical errors will be left alone and serious edits will be notated at the end of the comment with an “EDIT:” prefacing the notation. If your comment is a tirade, it will most likely be deleted.
At no time will I attempt to alter the core meaning of a comment.
Special Provisions For Comment Spam
I take comment spam seriously and all IP addresses used for spamming will be reported to the internet blacklists, the ISPs/hosts for the offending domain will be notified, and the owner of the IP block will be notified of the problem.
While comment spam continues to proliferate, I can and will do my part to help combat it.
Indemnification
When you make a comment on this blog, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless in entirety the blog owner, the blog author(s), the web hosting company this blog is on, and http://www.vrsjustice.com from claims resulting from the use of any material appearing on vrsjustice.com which damages the reader, commenter or any other party. This includes any expenses or legal liabilities incurred by any comments.

I reserve the right to update this comment policy at any time without notice.
